kevin verronneau, a native of boston massachusetts, attended northeastern university’s bachelors program in drama and speech where he majored in technical theater, with a minor in lighting design. in 1980 he began and operated his own special events company based in Boston. after 10 successful years kevin branched out to south florida to enhance his already established reputation as a decorative artist and event producer to work in conjunction with sutka productions international, palm beach. during his 5 years in florida, some of his producing credits include: major runway shows for chanel, krizia, ungaro and bob mackie, bi-annual sales meetings for lancôme, paris and l’oreal, palm beach’s renowned young friend’s new years galas, annual meetings for smith barney, merrill lynch, as well as major palm beach social events.
in 1994, kevin verronneau was hired as the vice president, national sales, and director, paradise show & design in atlanta, georgia. responsibilities included design and production of special events, staging and audio visual needs for the eastern region as well as 6 of the worldwide sponsors of the centennial olympic games. clients included: delta airlines, xerox, swatch, sensormatic, york international , General Motors, atlanta ballet and geoffrey beene fashion show in atlanta, annual productions of the boston and new york city marathons, as well as the opening night events in boston for the broadway play rent.
in 1996, at the conclusion of the olympics, kevin founded edny (event designs new york). since its inception edny has produced numerous events globally. clients include: A&E, association of national advertisers, conde nast media group, iHeartMedia, disney special events, general motors, kindred healthcare, lancôme paris, l’oreal, NBC, SAP, swatch, the ritz-carlton hotel company, time warner, weber-stephens & xerox.
